Partash 18 Karat Gold Pendant & Chain

This gold bird pendant necklace features wings set with emerald and tanzanite, with intricate polki detailing on the tail and body, and a large emerald doublet suspended from the beak. Partash is an age-old technique developed during the Mughal era, where uncut diamonds and gemstones are set into finely engraved gold bezels and secured with kundan to create solid gold settings. Revived in Jaipur after the Mughal decline, it remains a labour-intensive, entirely handcrafted artform.
